Has anyone got EWG wires to work flawlessly on N55?

Everytime I try installing the EWG harness to JB4, I get drivetrain malfunction.

Has anyone got it to work without any codes thrown?

Do you have the correct firmware? Make sure its the N55_FSERIES_EWG_3_0.hex. When I updated it I accidentally updated the F series non EWG firmware, car instantly threw the same malfunction. Just re updated and all was well.

I got this code also. I went back and checked all my wirings and found out that I didn't splice all the way through the wires. After I redid that it worked perfectly fine

When you have these wires installed, how do you start the car? Press the start button without starting the car, let the dash light up wait about 4-5 seconds then start the car. This allows the jb4 to start up before the drivetrain malfunction kicks in. I have the ewg wires with no issues since day 1.

How are the gains with EWG

I haven't had a chance to get the car on a dyno yet, but after the wires it felt stronger. I just installed the new EWG board BMS has. With this new board down the line tuning EWG car's we will see more results.

Physical upgrade, you pay $130 for the new board and once you send back your old board they send back the $100 core. New board requires no power or ground so they say, however my m235i still required to ground it. So after i cut the power and ground wires then ran into issues with the car not starting, BMS discovered my car still needed a ground. They are saying something is wrong with my car's grounding system . So if you end up getting the new board cut the power wire off, but just disconnect the ground if the car doesn't start then connect the ground, if it does then i guess my car does have a issue.

So, new board is actually only $30 if you send in your old one after you receive the new one? Lol, I'll definitely leave the ground wires in first and see what's up.

Yes, $30 at the end of the day. I should start a business for people who live in Cali, have it shipped to my house in Jersey and ill send to their house in Cali for a small fee.
