Any experience in this area on ordering?
Michelin PSS (summer) tires are standard and what the car has been developed for by the M division. If you really want RFT or all season, you can get them as no cost options

local Seattle dealers don't seem to have much experience with ED, or maybe they just don't want to do ED deals. Neither Seattle nor Bellevue BMW gave me any confirmation whether they were willing to do ED or not, let alone the pricing.

probably cause ED's are coming from the dealer allocations so they rather sell it locally at almost MSRP cause the best i got was $750 off MSRP from Seattle than do ED

but if you are doing ED you can buy from the dealer that gives you the best deal.... you can try Steve Thomas in CA.... I contacted them but as you have to pay shipping to WA it wasn't worth it... but for ED it might work out

How does it compare to the M3? The 2 is probably the best looking BMW in the line-up right now.

Interesting. I have a 2013 135is in mineral grey, and work a few miles away from nick alexander, so might have to go take a look.

I'm curious how it sounds without the PE considering the engine and tune is virtually identical to the N55 + PPK on a 1-series.

This will not be comparable to the F80 M3 or F82 M4. Those cars will be in a different league, IMO. Just going by the specs we know so far.

It might be comparable to the e90/e92 M3 but that's a big maybe.

This car is replacing the 135is. So this may be more comparable to the 1M, if anything.

Buy this car if you're looking for an almost M car with a good amount of performance and can't afford a full blown M car. That's how I'm interpreting it as...

I think they should find a few more places to stick on an ///M logo. Call it a 235i and make an M2. Don't water down the ///M anymore than it is. Just my .02

People who purchase/lease this vehicle over an M3/4 does not mean they can't afford a "full blown" M Car. People have different priorities. There are plenty of people in M cars who can't really afford them as well.

Car looks great, although the 18" wheels seem tiny.

How would you rate the exhaust compared to the M performance exhaust for the regular models?

I'm trying to gauge what the M performance exhaust for the M235i will be like.. Many people think the M performance exhaust is still too quite for the standard models.

335i stock < 335i M performance exhaust =? M235i exhaust < M235i M performance?

Priorities? Care to explain why someone who can afford an M3/M4 decides to go with the M235i?

Not trying to bash the M235i because I have one on order. I know it's going to be a fantastic car, but if I could afford an M3, I would be all over it. Not only does it have more leg room but it's going to have a substantial performance advantage over the M235i, from what I can see so far.

I just don't see the logic in your statement, sorry

if you lease a car...wouldn't recommend to many add additional add ons...you will not get paid back for them when the lease is over or even a percentage...consider Car Max

In my mind, the difference is in the size of the thing - I went from an E92 to the E82 because I wanted something smaller.

The E92 was definitely better looking, but didn't feel as nice to me as the tighter package that the E82 offered.

Will the new M3/4 be beasts? Of course...but if they make an M2, it is a no brainer for me...and if they don't, I will stick with the M235 I have on order.

the silver mirrors on the MG look silly imo. I'm sure it looks okay on other colors but it looks like a mistake or replacement parts... ..i think black would look better.
