I am almost certain the glass has UV protection. This can usually be seen when wearing a set of polarized sunglasses.

I thought side glass often did not have UVB protection hence the higher incidence of left (face, arm ) side cancers.
And I thougt polarized sunglasses if angled 90 degrees when viewing window turn dark if the car window has polarization. And polarized sunglasses will detect the stress treatment of the side glass - the linear light dark pattern that appears. But I'm not sure BMW offer's side window UV protection, but the BMW glass seems very good with nice coatings and tint. I'm really curious because I had too much sun exposure. Window sellers may have portable UV detectors, and you want the reader to read 400 nanometers or about when testing for UV transmission. And there is also infra-red transmission and coatings but don't know if that causes interior plastic deterioration. |

I know there is some kind of particulate or something in the windshield glass....I seen what looked like little specs all thru the front glass that I cannot clean off and you can see it if the light/sun is just right. I tried to scrub it off but it is in the class
