Seat Adjustment and Driving Mode Questions...
Recent M235i owner here and I have a few questions:
1. I'm coming from an E92, and I remember it took me months to find a comfortable seating position to cure this exact issue. I can't exactly replicate the seating position from my old car. In the M235i I have pain in the base of my neck after a 20 or so minutes of driving. It feels as if I can't relax into the seat (ie, my body weight won't press into the cushioning so I'm stuck holding up my neck). The lumbar is fully deflated, but I would feel more comfortable if I could deflate it even MORE. I realize this is incredibly specific, but I was hoping someone had an idea. 2. I typically find myself in one of two driving modes: "Sport" with settings active for chassis/steering and "Sport" with settings active for throttle/chassis/steering. Unfortunately, I have to go into I-drive every time I want to make this switch. I can't seem to hotkey the Driving Mode settings either. Any thoughts? I suppose I could shift up to Sport + but I'm a little nervous about losing the traction control. I could also use "Sport" for chassis/steering and move the shifter to the left (the old D/S) mode, but I don't think that is quite that same as "Sport" with settings active for throttle/chassis/steering. Much appreciated! Last edited by beenthere1; 10-23-2014 at 02:35 PM.. |

Not sure about the seats but I don't think there is a way to save Sport mode from starting every time you want to use it. I hit sport or shift into Sport+ whenever I get I. My car, it's annoying but it's not a major deal. That is not something that is saved with the key memory and if it is I haven't figured a way to do it. As far as the seat, I have mine set to my key when I get in but I'm the only person driving my car so my seat doesn't change unless I am playing around with it myself

Set a shortcut dash button to go to Sports display setting (or whatever is call) but this is no way an easy way to switch between modes
I set my "sport" for throttle only and if I need both chasis+throttle then I go up to "sport +"....this is the only easy way out My 2014 doesnt have a steering only setting

When you select Sport Mode, the central display shows the Sport screen (if activated in settings, on by default). Before the screen disappears after a few seconds, you can select the settings by pushing the iDrive button and change the Sport settings there.
