After a while of owning a 220i I really wanted to get an exhaust but I wanted something that would work with the existing sport buttons, which left only OEM options.

I’ve seen people on here who have installed the stock 235i back box on the 220i & 228i but nothing on the 220i which I believe has a slightly different pipe set up underneath. For anyone wondering the 2017 220i has a pipe diameter of 75mm.

The first place I took it said it couldn’t be done and completely botched the job by incorrectly installing it. I managed to find somewhere about an hour away who said they could do it no problem, although I did get some laughs about how much they stuck out with the stock diffuser. 😂

Here are the final results below, very happy now it’s all been sorted and sounds incredible for a 4 cylinder! Just always go to a specialist who can fabricate the parts if your having something similar done.
