help identifying leak

put my m235i on the lift to put on a new lip and ran into this. anybody know what could be the possibilities?

Looks like motor oil but we need a better picture. One not so close.

Is that your rear diff? Could be your rear diff leaking.. How do the CV axle boots look back there?

Check your diff fluid level. Looks like it's leaking, don't let it get to low!!

here is a better quality picture of it. it isn’t dripping yet but better to take action now than later.

OK. Clearly not motor oil as there is no oil near there. Your differential is leaking. Probably from the pinion seal. Not a bad job for someone who knows what they are doing.
