What next?

I have a downpipe and JB4 - what is next in terms of seeking more power?

I don't want to go down the path of a larger turbo, intake upgrades are not worth it, I haven't seen anything that would make me want to upgrade the intercooler, and meth injection seems like too much hassle. Is there anything else worth doing?

As far as I understand it, that's it on the stock turbo. Don't think there's much else you can bolt on to get you another significant increase in power. Intakes and exhaust won't yield big gains.

I did intercooler to keep the power consistent (back to back pulls/track), and chargepipe bc I was concerned it would break at higher boost and possibly leave me stranded.

If I get power hungry again after I get my downpipe and am running map 2, I plan on upgrading the turbo.

ECU Tune if feasible.

You need to upgrade cooling and it has to be either intercooler or meth

Charge pipe needs to be changed at this point as well

That's not going to net him much more gain. I've had both JB4>flash>now flash & JB4 stack with bigger turbo.

Flash will be smoother, more responsive and more consistent.

To OP:
I hate to say it but bigger turbo or meth is your only other way. And I know you don't want either. The tiny oem turbo maxes out very fast. Are you PWG or EWG? If you're EWG yes get a flash it will smooth out the boost and be very consistent, if you're PWG get a bigger turbo (sorry) it's the only way.

EWG.

Car is currently a non runner due to a blown chargepipe so that's being done too.

Sounds like a bigger turbo is the best bet, although I think the money would be better spent on an LSD.

Chargepipe faliure is common get that ER and hire set. In your case since you're EWG, a stage 1 turbo won't make much sense. I did a stage 1 since I'm PWG but our turbos are smaller.

Depends on how much money you want to dump into to. Don't get me wrong a stage 1 and meth will yield nice gains but no one really with an EWG car goes Stage 1 turbo upgrade. They jump into a pure Stage 2.

Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as you. I would do the charge pipe for peace of mind then maybe meth would net the highest gains per dollar.

If it's hot in your area, which I'm sure it is, intercooler should definately be next on your list along with a charge pipe. You'll find good gains with the intercooler and keeping those intake temps down, your motor will also be happier about it.
