2017 M240i XDrive
Byron dragway rockford IL. 65 degree day, 750 feet above sea level and with a head wind!

Results:

12.3 @ 108 mph
1.7 60 foot time with launch control.

I can't describe how happy I am with this result and the car is 100% bone stock with 2500 miles on it. The vehicle is extremely consistent and I ran this time on the 3rd run so heat soak was not an issue. This car has so much potential and people did not believe me when I said this is a stock time right out of the box! Enjoy!!!

Sounds like the xdrives are going to make great bracket racing cars. Can't miss a shift, launches like a monster, and that can only mean consistency.

I just picked up a new m235i here in Sydney Australia and looking to see what it can do down the quarter. Hoping for a 12.9 or 13.0 second run before I tune it.

Keen to see what times the 240's will run when owners start to modify them.

Let me know how you get on; I took my m135i down to the strip (only ran it post mods though) and struggled big time with traction. I'll probably go back and try again with some different techniques. The magazines here seem to have achieved 13.0 on more than one occasion with the m1/235i so they've definitely got it in them stock!

I too thought the MPH was low for that ET but I guess we will have to wait for more data to be sure.

FWIW, my old 01 Lightning ran a 12.42@108.19 so it is not impossible. On those trucks though the size of the thing kept the trap down at the end. It could simply be that the M240i is a beast off the line but falls down at the end of the 1/4.

My MPH was very consistent in that range 107-108 even at a 12.4 and 12.5
the car lacks some the top end but this will most likely be fixed with a tune.
the 0-60 and 1/8 mile kicks @ss

Compared to low 12s runs, 12.5@108 merely reflect better traction in launch. It's not necessarily relevant to trap speed. You can smoke tires for a coupe secs and still get better trap speed than the runs with best ET.

Here is the thing: even 12.5 is too good a ET for 108 trap time.

I am under the impression most of BMWs should suck off the line but perform in rollings.
