My previous 6 cars were manual and now I have the 8at m235. I've had it since about April of this year and have yet to regret going with the auto.
I've tracked all my cars extensively too. Hopefully when I track the 235 I'll still be happy with the auto, but I see no reason why I wouldn't be

I've had mostly manual's and switched to a 135i with DCT and ended up trading it for a 135is 6MT. I got bored with AT (DCT or not) very quickly. Not as fun or involving IMO.

Thanks for all the replies I appreciated everyone's perspective. I decided to keep the car as I do think I would miss the manual. I ordered a 330 msport wagon that I will use as my winter car, my wife will use it after the winter since she mountain bikes all the time. She leases a Mini convertible and the lease is up next fall. She decided that only middle age women drive Mini convertibles (I think she is going through a mid-life crisis,LOL) so instead of leasing another one she would take the 135 for a summer car which would enable me to buy 240 vert in the next year or so. So that is what the plan is........ Again thanks for sharing your views......
