My Image Thread
After being around the community here for the better part of two years, I've yet to post any images of my car. After putting fresh wax on and detailing prior to the holiday weekend, I decided to post a few images.
Before you ask or comment, the car is not going to be lowered. Thanks for looking. Good looking ride!
I actually like the way the 19's sit in the wheel well better at stock height over being lowered. The circumference matches from the side making it look more aesthetically pleasing, imo. Not to mention less chance of ripping your front splitter off. Any issues with the lip going over speed bumps and such at that height? I've heard guys complain while lowered, but wasn't sure how troublesome it might be stock. |

The truth is that my car scraped on a lot of parking lot exits in this area BEFORE the splitter was added. I haven't tried to clear a speed bump since I installed it. I already have to avoid certain parking lots so I'd likely turn around if presented with anything greater than a small/moderate bump. |

Looks real nice!
I painted my mirror covers - one of the VERY first mods I did. (Forget the site where I got the paint, but it was a perfect match.) The silver just didn't cut it, IMHO.

Hey Orenji, love the car. My wife and I just put in our order for a 2017 m240i a couple weeks ago and are planning everything we want to change on the car when we get it. Glad you decided to put your pictures up because it is the same color and has basically all the mods aesthetically that we want to do when we get it.
The question I have though is about the rims you got. I'm wanting to go with the same 235/265 wheel size as well because our model will have xDrive and should keep the variance below 1%. Since your setup isn't rubbing, do you know the offset on those VMR wheels and did you go 8.5f/9.5r? Tried checking their website and it just said the bolt pattern and the wheel sizes they offer. Only asking because we're stationed in Germany, so ordering rims from VMR will be too expensive to ship across the pond so will have to source some locally. |
