Harman\Kardon Credit Issued

Just got off the phone with BMWUSA Customer Service. They are issuing a $350 credit for accessories at my dealership for the stereo web mis-information.

Guess I will be getting both the steering wheel and exhaust now with my newly found rebate.

Yep, they also told me I'd be getting credit also. But not until I actually take delivery.

You guys both buying? Leasing? I am leasing and would much prefer the credit for accessories vs $350 off price of car. That's awesome news though, think the general consensus is that's a fair resolution. M performance grilles and winter mats for free, happy with that.

I'm leasing so this is a store credit at the dealership. I'll use this and my buyer discount and should walk out with both the wheel, exhaust with tips for under $1300.

That's perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. Prob would have done HK anyway, so this is a nice deal. Fair is fair though.

My relationship with dealership SA affords me a discount on all accessories through him. Membership has it's privileges!

BMWCCA members are getting 20% I believe, my discount is around 28%.

Would anyone be able to give me a quick rundown of what the issues is that's prompting this 350 dollar credit so that I can take advantage as well? My car just finished production with the HK option.

Check the Nav forum there's a huge thread. Short answer, when you ordered your car you were told 16 speakers 600w, you're actually getting 12 speakers 360w. BMW has changed the description on the website but since you ordered and paid with bad info you need to email them and they will call you to offer you a refund.

Check the thread. Tons of details on who to call, email etc. Still HK just not as good.

I remember it was advertised on the site before they took it off but was it ever, or is still, mentioned in the owner's manual?
