MP diffuser

Hey guys
I just placed an order for an IPE exhaust that should be arriving in middle of april
I currently don't have a MP diffuser, but I do plan to get one in the future.
I was told that the diffuser one installed will stick out more, and thus the exhaust needs to be extended or else the tips won't stick out enough.

Is this true? and if so, what are my options to extend the tips on the ipe exhaust? can the hangers be adjusted?

thanks guys

You could have ordered the MPE for the M diffuser and then no extenders would have been needed....
Double check which one you ordered....they are different p/n's

IMHO it would be easier to just to get the diffuser at the same time and correct MPE (longer tips) I know they (OEM) do adapters to use the standard exhaust with the MP diffuser , but not the other way ? as far as I m aware if you get the standard MPE with shorter tips, guess some sort of adapter could be fabricated though but as I mentioned just less hassle to do it from the start

I'm pretty sure OP said he ordered the IPE not MPE.. The IPE should have adjustable tips that you could make longer or shorter when switching diffusers. I would recommend calling or emailing IPE and finding out for sure though.

It really depends on how much adjustment the tips have, the hangers don't really move much. I would ask IPE

If there isn't a lot of adjustment, I would get the longer version and just have them stick out until you get the diffuser, if not it won't look so good once you get it

hi guys
thanks for the comments.

I already emailed ipe and they replied me asking "how much longer does it have to be extended." I'm assuming they will make the exhaust a little longer

If anyone could give me the actual measurements on how much the diffuser sticks out from the rear bumper, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

there is about three to four inches of excursion with the tips. Use allen wrench to loosen the tips and pull out as far as you need. Hopefully there will be enough room to do this
