Per4mance Klappenauspuff exhaust (another interesting option)

What's up my friends. Since I installed the ER catted downpipe I've been not only enjoying the performance increase but also struggling with the kind of annoying increment of drone on my M Performance Exhaust.... I've been seriously thinking on changing it with another brand.

So I found the "Per4mance Klappenauspuff" brand, did a search within 2addicts and found nothing about it so I decided to share this.

The website is in German but I think one can understand the basics.

http://www.per4mance-industries.de/shop/bmw/2er/

It has a valve controlled by a switch (like the Armytrix) that opens/closes so the sound goes from mellow to roar. The video file is more marketing than a true sound demo but from what I could hear, it sound pretty cool and no drone (even that the showed car has also downpipe installed).

Now, does it worth the $1,900+ price?

What are your thoughts? Personally I never heard of this brand before.

With the valve controller.. looking over $2000+ shipping. No information on performance gains, I would rather get Armytrix. Seems similar in price range.

I will also tell you if you want to hold off, my car is at an exotic fabrication shop creating a new downpipe and valvetronic exhaust that will be finished in a few weeks and released to the general public. All work is done in house and top notch quality. The shop generally works on Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Porsche, etc. Just to keep another potential option in mind.

The thing with the Armytrix is that has too much drone and too loud for my personal taste. I've heard a video testing acceleration while parked and way too much explosions.

Whilst idle revving is difficult to gauge, I hope Fabspeeds F2x exhaust does have as much rasp as their F8x exhaust video.

Well if you watch the second video above, they do drive by and in cabin videos as well!

Looking at the pic of the exhaust in the first link it appears that the valve is on one tip. When closed all exhaust goes through the muffler. When open it goes through the straight pipe and muffler. Most flow will be through un-muffled pipe. Betting sound is much like a muffler delete.
