M Performance Exhaust
Hi guys,
I had a simple question. Do you guys think that a M235i fitted with the M Performance exhaust will be louder than the exhaust that comes on the CLA45? |

I don't think the exhaust is that loud...I mean you can barely hear it in the cabin. In sport= mode I mostly hear the active sound. I feel the MPE is a great balance between noise and drivability

It's a nice sound...but totally mellow at high speeds. NOT abrasive or droned at all. Never tried it in Comfort mode; but again, not loud in sport or S+ at all.

I've never driven an M235i with the M Performance exhaust but I drove a 435i with one and it sounded great. it's not loud at all, nice refined sound. You really hear it with the windows down but I found it was very quiet with the windows up, all you can hear is the active sound. So with the windows up, the in cabin noise shouldn't change much compared to stock
Cold starts are a diff story though |

It's well worth the purchase. I've extremely picky when it comes to exhaust sounds. It has ZERO drone period. In comfort or eco mode it is super quiet. In sport modes it comes alive but it's not overly done. You will not be dissapointed. Now if you want everyone around you to notice you then you might want to look into other exhausts and or add a catless downpipe and intake. Don't get me wrong it can be heard by onlookers but it's a quality sound that one would expect on a high quality BMW with a sweet inline 6 cylinder.

Because you can't tell any difference in the cabin, I decided to save my money and stick with the stock exhaust. |

Ordered as port installed for mp diffuser! I ordered it without hearing hit, so hopefully no disappointments. - Not looking for loud but I believe exhaust should be heard not engine noise and fans. Looking for subtle but powerful. - Not like my 5.7 stroked mustang that shook house windows. - Nor my Ducati with exhaust that sounds like a Ferrari's cousin. |

It sounds awesome on its own but the drone from the piped in stereo exhaust sound drives me nuts.
I love the way it pops and crackles when you come off the gas. I drive my wife nuts running it through the gears but to me it is pure music to my ears!!!! |
