I haven't forgotten about you all I promise. I took pictures last night when I did the unboxing. I also took pictures of the install that I'm going to post up. I also took a quick (kind of crappy I feel) before video with a cold start on the factory setup. I will do a cold start with the Remus setup tomorrow morning so it's similar starting temps.
Got the install done today, there are some things to note during the install that turned what should of been an hour install using a lift, into a 3 hour install (key points will be in the write up). Hopefully it will help others make an easier install if they go with the Remus exhaust. First impression: resonated midpipe makes the exhaust about as quiet as stock when under normal load which is great so I don't piss off my German Community here. When doing spirited driving in comfort mode, you can definitely hear the exhaust and it sounds awesome. It has a lower exhaust note which makes it sound great. It doesn't have a tingy or raspy sound to it, nor does it sound like a ricer. Definitely hear the burbles (overrun) when in sport mode more now. WOT in the higher RPMs kind of sounds like stock to me (inside, windows up, sunroof closed) and that's probably due to the ASD (which I plan on disconnecting the middle speaker one day to deactivate it). My wife says though that at WOT it sounds a lot better than stock and sounds amazing. Overall, worth the $2k for the exhaust. The difference IMO is night and day. Last exhaust system I did was a flowmaster on my old Dakota and although the install was simpler on the flowmaster, the quality of the exhaust, materials, and thought that went into the design is very apparent on the Remus system. WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID! Can anyone direct me on how I could insert pictures in between my text when I type up the walk through so I don't have to say "Refer to picture #1, 2, 3, etc." ? I will also include the videos in the walk through but probably at the end. |

The Remus one has a dual pip up front off the DP back to about the rear diff. Then it comes back together for the second pipe which has a small resonator on it. Last edited by Joe240; 03-02-2017 at 11:28 AM.. |

Here you go Gentlemen. Pictures of the exhaust from unboxing. Here's the links for the before and after videos as well.

1. The system is beatiful. Top notch quality. 2. I was thinking the resonator would be smaller and embeded in the tube itself. Looks big. 3. Any drone or annoying sound so far? Do you think i'ts too quiet ? With a stock dp as a i have, would you go resonated or non-resonated ?? 4. I've watched your driving video a few times but i couldn't figured out if the exhaust pops and gargle (the main problem with the stock system). Maybe the Gopro couldn't record that type of sound ??? It would be great if you can make a video with your iPhone with the engine hot y and rev it in the different driving modes. Thanks again. Last edited by AlexM240i; 03-06-2017 at 12:45 PM.. |

No drone at all, nor any annoying sounds. I'm really happy with the exhaust. I will say that it is a little on the quiet side so I find myself putting it into Sport mode more often. I have a catless DP to put on though which I knew would make it louder anyways. That was the reasoning why I went with the resonated midpipe. If you're sticking with the stock DP, then go non resonated. If you plan on going catless DP, then resonate the midpipe. This way you wont be too loud and you shouldn't get any drone. As far as the pops and gurgles, that's the overrun that I (think) mentioned. In Sport mode it does it all the time with light or hard throttle. In comfort mode, you don't hear it (maybe rarely, but I haven't been paying attention in comfort mode). I know that they all will be more apparent in all driving modes once the catless DP goes on. I did notice that in park when revving, it doesn't do the overrun it seems. I'll mess around with it to see if I can get some better audio on my iPhone or camcorder. I do ear the overrun when playing it through my TV to my soundbar with wireless sub. Were you using headphones or computer speakers when you listened to it? It might be just the frequency of your speakers. I know that sometimes it was hard to hear on the video because of the wind as well though. |

Maybe it's must me but from the sound from the videos, it doesn't sound too much different. Just slightly. I was hoping for a more noticeable sound difference. I got the MPE and that doesn't sound too much different than the Remus. Maybe I'm tone deaf. Oh well.

This isn't my final setup though. I'll be putting the catless DP on in a couple weeks. That'll make even idle louder. Currently though, it's louder and a different tone when driving. It's just idle that's quiet. If you don't plan on replacing the stock DP to sport or even catless, then I'd suggest the non resonated midpipe. Another thing to remember is that camera microphones don't capture low sounds very well. So always take videos with a grain of salt, but something is better than nothing. |

Not yet. I wanted to do my Dinan tune and a dyno run first. Also, looking to see if there is a better sound combination out there before cutting my stock pipes further. This is a lease you know. haha

Removing the midpipe resonators would be the next step to making the car louder. You could probably have a custom midpipe made and just hang on to the factory midpipe. I'm pretty sure they do not weld the MPE to the midpipe so should be an easy swap should you want to go back.
