Same for me. I think this is the spoiler where it's flat on top and doesn't curve down in the middle like the pictures show.

If you get a good, cheap cf piece, it's always a good idea to pay the extra $$ to get it clear coated. Still a cheaper option than many |

I bought the CF mirror caps and CF trunk spoiler from this vendor and I clear coated both of them at a local body shop. I didn't want them to be hazy and clouded after a couple months. They have to lightly sand the parts to get the paint to stick, which fix's some of the imperfections at the same time! They turned out great. The spoiler looks about the same in terms of quality!

Just wondering how effective folks expect the clear coat to be in preventing clouding of the matrix/epoxy due to exposure to sun |

I got them in the mail last week, directly sent them for clear coat, and installed them last weekend. So I can't speak to the longevity of the parts now...but hopefully that clearcoat will do the trick! My car is also garage kept at home, and in a parking garage at work, so it never sits in the sun for too long.

BMW M235i Rear Spoiler Install & Adhesive Removal
Quote:
1. Use dental floss and a heat gun to remove stock spoiler. Works great. Takes 5-10 mins. 2. Put Goo Gone on tape/adhesive left on trunk. The longer the better. I recommend 6 hours. 3. After that, most of the tape will come off by just rubbing your finger on it. 4. The secret ingredient for the leftover adhesive is a 3M Adhesive removal wheel. Makes this job WAY easier. Well worth the $26. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...3VVN0EF21N5QJ7 |
