Lease Factory Wheel Replacement
Hi All,
I have an M235i on order and was wondering if someone could shed some light on something for me. I was told that it would be possible to order the car with other wheels from BMW, receive a credit for the wheels that I would not be taking and then pay the difference? Is this accurate? What wheel options would I have? How much credit would I get for the M235i wheels? Thanks in advance.

I asked the same thing when I ordered mine (which should be delivered by Wed of next week ) and I was told there wasn't any way to do that ??
I ordered very early, so maybe it would be different now...

I am going to speak to my guy at my dealership today and ask. Problem is I am going to do a performance center delivery so if they do swap them they would have already been driven on from up there. Ill have to see what they tell me.

That's a good idea - and if the wheels are the same diameter and width, you would think that it would basically be a "push" for them most of the time.

There are enough people on here who don't like the Ferric Grey M235 wheels that I bet you could just swap with a fellow forum member...

The only way to do this is if you work it out through your dealer as part of your deal. If you order a performance accessory wheel, and it is installed at the VPC, you will get the new wheels but you don't get the old wheels or a credit. There currently isn't a VPC installed accessory wheel option for the M235i, but there may be by the time your car arrives as they are adding new parts as they come available.

Can you not get the PSS on any of the 228 wheels?? If so, that's another idiotic omission on BMW's part...

BMW is really annoying me with both of these cars. Why can't the 228 have PSS's. And an even better question why can't the 235 be built with the 228 wheels, fixed ratio steering, no sunroof, and a static shock/spring suspension. (Non adaptive like the M performance). I really hate spending a bunch of money after the fact trying to make the car that should have come from the factory if we are just allowed a few simple choices. Ok. Rant done. Back to trying to decide which car to buy. #firstworldproblems |
