Upgrade to full maintenance coverage with BMW Ultimate Care+.
Hey Friends... I received this email from BMW - see below.
I was curious as to what you all thought about this - whether it's worth it or not. I've only had my car for a few months so don't really have any expenses I've forked out for. Lemme have it! BTW my car is a 2017 bought in June 2017 with 7000 miles on the clock with 9000 now. ADD BMW ULTIMATE CARE+ FOR ONLY $600. Congratulations on your new 2017 BMW M240i Convertible. Enjoy every minute behind the wheel, and keep your BMW at its very best, by upgrading to full coverage with BMW Ultimate Care+ for only $600 for the first 3 years / 36,000 miles.1,2,3,4 In addition to the coverage of BMW Ultimate Care, including oil and filter changes and Roadside Assistance, you’ll enjoy potential savings of up to 35% on scheduled maintenance by paying in advance5 when upgrading to BMW Ultimate Care+, as well as: Replacement of specific wear-and-tear items such as brake pads, wiper blades and manual transmission clutch (for model year 2017 vehicles and newer). Transferability of entire maintenance coverage to a subsequent owner, should you sell your vehicle. https://bmwusaservice.com/ultimateca...extendcoverage

You can sometimes go farther than 36000 miles on a set of the original brakes, so to me it's a big gamble - you might drop $600 just on a set of wiper blades.

On my M325i in 4 years I have just had fluid changes and micro filters. My computer says 6K more to front brake pads.

it might be worth taking the offer to your dealership (assuming that's where you're getting serviced) and negotiating something for a longer period with them?
i know the deals are different for CPO, but just 2 months ago i bought my '15 with 33K miles and negotiated the ultimate care+ service for an additional 3 years / 100K miles for $1000. it was worth it for me, since this is my daily driver and i will put ~24K miles / year on the vehicle. YMMV.
