Horn

Several months ago the horn on my 228ix lost the high tone, only had the low tone which is anemic. Took it to the dealer and they put in a new high tone horn. It worked fine until yesterday when some a--hole cut me off at a turn. I don't even think he heard me hit the horn. No more high tone only low. Could this be more than just an issue with the high tone horn. I take it in for service soon so I will have the dealer look into it.

Interesting...it could be a bad batch of high note horns from the supplier. Assuming there are no issues with the wiring and/or clockspring you should be fine. Just make they do a bit more checking before replacing it this time.

Horns

In my 2015 228xi, both of my horns didn't work. Dealer said it was due to corroded contacts with the horn. Said that he has seen it before.
