You're entitled to your own opinion, but to me it's the opposite. Mercedes interiors do not move me at all and I think their interiors are very cheap looking.

To each their own though. Enjoy the CLA if that's what you're going for. I was about to go for the CLA45 AMG until I saw it in person at NYIAS. Just didn't do it for me.

Looks awesome but still no oil temp gauge, wtf BMW??

Kind of lame for a so called "M Performance" model not to have one.

At least they're not runflats.

Yup, it will have the electric steering (as per the M135) as well as no DCT option.

As a result, it's not for me either.

I'll be keeping my 135i for much longer than planned now as a result.

It looks like every other BMW interior. That's not a bad thing. As long as it doesn't get overloaded with the hard plastics as they did with the X1, it'll be fine.

Should i wait for the 2? Or pick up a 135is or Audi TTs? Im worried BMW will ruin the steering like the f30.

just out of pure curiosity, can you fit a 6 feet tall person in the back seat of your car for longer than 30min? i know there won't be enough leg room for comfort but is it bearable?

Yeah, the no DCT option may be the deal breaker for me also. I like the look of the exterior and interior, however.

Unfortunate. I came from an E92 M3 with Nav, and now have an F30h with M-sport. The new wheel is just as good as the M3 wheel and the Nav design and placement is better than my old "nav-cave" implementation in every way. BMW designers are pretty sharp. What looks unfamiliar at first soon evolves into graceful design and functionality, with daily use.

BTW, steering (with optional DHP) is just as good as my M3, if not better in some respects.

So is it safe to assume we will not have the M135i hatch come with the coupe in NA?

If you think the steering is bad on a F30 don't drive a TT. I drove the RS and hated it. The engine was awesome but not enough to over come the steering. It was so light and felt dead when on center.

My only concern is that the steering wheel is not made for that small, beautiful interior. I find it too big for the 2 series.

Wishful thinking I know, but perhaps BMW will bring this car to the States with the cloth interior...that would be nice!

The side skirts don't look curvy as the 1 series which I think it looks much better

Funny, I'm fairly sure that the M135i comes with leather as standard over here, not the hexagon cloth.

Yes, one at least, if sat behine the front passenger with the seat moved forward a little.

You could probably survive 30mins sat behind the driver as well with the driver seat in a normal position for a 6ft driver, but it's a bit restrictive for longer than that. So, 3 x 6ft people is doable for more than 30mins, 4 x 6ft'ers would be borderline.

I'd agree with that as well.

I was sitting in a C63 last year in a Merc dealer while waiting to collect my Mum's Merc for her, and I was thinking what a cheap nasty interior for such a car - European Fords have nicer interiors!!

You can see that it has the whisker on the lower louvres and the lower center intake w the dark contrast like the F80

I like this but would hold out for the M2.... I'd wait for the M235i over the 135is

I have a feeling the M2 will be amazing especially if it gets rid of excess weighte
