Anyone have thoughts on whether 18x8.5 ET38 would fit, without too much poke all the way around using the stock 225/40 245/35s?

willtheyfit shows about 20mm of poke.. my measurements make it seem this should be close.. However people say running more than 15mm spacer on the oem wheels looks way too pokey.

Thanks

If semi racing tires existed in 245/35/18, I would put that size at the back, but Federal is the only option in that size (in europe).
I guess it comes down to how much closer to the struts I can afford at the back, and you say 8,7mm closer will clear, right ?
There is a guy here, SaabStory, who has installed the Dinan BBS CI-R running 265/35/19 tires on 19x9 ET48. That is the recommendation from Dinan and he said that there hasn't been any rubbing. There are people running 255s much closer to the struts.

Looks like the front wont poke at all with an 18x8.5et38 setup, however, it will rub on the inner lip if you're lowered.

The rear has 13mm of clearance between the stock stagger rim and the fender. 18x8.5et38 will cause the tire to poke out about 7mm or so. If you're able to get et45 or somewhere close to that, then the 245/35 will sit just inside the fender like the front would.

Should I expect any rubbing on:

19x8.5 et35 front on 225/35/19
19x9.5 et40 rear on 255/35/19
Lowered on M Performance suspension

I have yet to rub my front or rears, and it's nice to know that if I run into any rubbing I can just roll the front fenders, but I don't think I will have to. Also, my M4 LCAs have finally arrived so I will be putting those on, which will give me some front camber, and an alignment will probably give me some rear camber as well.

Finally got them put on and they fit fine. No rubbing. No issues of any kind. No cutting, rolling or anything else.

Multiple vendors on here wanted to upcharge me 500+ dollars for "correct" offsets, but after doing the math, decided that the factory offsets would fit, and they do. There is a little bit of poke, but a lot of cash in my pocket for other mods.

Here are the specs.

Advant Garde M510s
19x8.5F +35ET 235/35/19
19x9.5R +40ET 265/30/19
Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Factory Suspension.

It's dark out now and I'll take some better pictures tomorrow.

Have you had any problems since the posting? I unfortunately live in an area with a decent amount of potholes and my driveway is sadly not the best. I am looking to do the exact same thing as you but Vertini RFS 1.9 wheels.
