Awesome diffuser! I'm quite curious about the exhaust sound in real life, can you take a video of flying by in sports mode? I really wanted to know how the performance exhaust sound outside with only 1/4 throttle or less..

Thank you very much guys. I see that the one highlighted in blue on the drop down menu picture I posted is the one I need since I'm getting the M Performance exhaust installed at port.

so i installed my exhaust today and maybe its because it needs to be broken in, but its not THAT much louder. some of the videos posted here u hear shit ton of pops and gargles, but while driving its hard to hear it. especially because of the wind noise. I'm sure others can hear the difference from the outside.
can you write ur feedback on how it sounds in cabin? i hear a slight drone, but its really hard to hear anything |

the pops and gargles are only on sport or sport+.
but then I`m with you, it`s not much louder then stock. It`s a waste of money imo. There are better options.

even pops and gargles are only during a certain rpm (around 2-3k). Until the rpm drops you won't hear it. but one good thing though is, even from an axle back i noticed a bit more tq and a smoother power curve. this is obviously coming from my butt dyno, but my car just doesn't seem to hesitate anymore revving up which I'm happy about. i dont think jb4 and intake was a good combo. definitely need exhaust on top |

So the sport and sport+ still make a difference in exhaust note just like it does stock?

yes. but u can to the golf tee mod which forces it to stay open without throwing a code. the only major difference is for the people outside. in cabin theres practically no difference. only way to hear it better i noticed was to open the sunroof.

If the sound is what you are really after then just do muffler delete. Any exhaust shop with a welder can remove the muffler and insert a Y pipe fitted to the factory mid-pipe and weld tips to the ends. Should be 1/2 the price of a new M Performance muffler and give you that straight six race sound. Be smart and get the fitting flanged so you can un-mount the new pipe and re-mount the stock muffler as needed.

i wrote about this in another thread, but i have to take back my initial impression pre break-in. now its much louder and can hear it in cabin. i definitely like the pitch better than any other exhaust out so far. |

If you guys have through load option, try folding one of the rear seats down and go for a blast.
I have m135i (5dr hatchback version of m235i) here in UK and exhaust sound is more fruity with one or both rear seat backs flat!

I actually quite like the stock rear over the m performance rear diffuser. So all i need is the m performance exhaust, with the carbon fibre tips.
I'm curious why the exhaust is cheaper with m performance diffusor vs without.....
