I thought it was just me finding his steering wheel grip horrendous! Totally an amateur!

BMW is really looking to phase out manuals unfortunately. Porsche appears to be leading the charge to do the same as well.

I ALSO noticed the way the driver in the video did not touch the paddles and also was very gingerly holding the steering wheel at " 10 and 2".

Perhaps this was a test drive opportunity for novice enthusiasts...?

if it sounds great.. then it sounds great!

Amazing how a bunch of so called enthusiasts get their panties in a wad over " piped in sound".

shut up and drive.

thank god for someone with actual sense!

thank god for someone with actual sense! If ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the sound was artificial and the car drives awesome, sounds awesome, and goes like stink.... I could care less.... And yet a bunch of people are worried about the possible FIVE percent of sound that may be enhanced artificially as if their delicate sensibilities have been offended....

Totally agree, it's getting a bit silly now really. Not a single review car in manual?

thought i read on a another thread that the fake engine sounds can be turned off when the windows are down, all the way.

anyway, i think the issue is why bmw should 'stoop' to play up their sound, why are they spending time doing that, can't it and shouldn't it sing on it's own, naturally.

why have enhanced boobs when your boobs supposedly C, they aren't even an A or a B- size? lol.

if it aint broke dont fix it...

or, a natural beauty doesnt need makeup, doesnt need her eyebrows actually drawn, etc.

Piped sound is one thing, but playing a soundfile that looks at throttle position and revs is something else.

It's the sound of the cars engine just played in the cabin so you can hear it otherwise everyone would whinge either about road noise or about no engine sound. Get over it.

Oh and it's a bmw being test driven on a track not private roads, doesn't mean it's someone who cares about lap times etc it's just a bigger parking "lot" as you call it lol. Don't think the video was entitled "hot lap round the 'ring" or similar was it?
