MPE with stock diffuser and later upgrade to MP diffuser

I am sure this has been asked but I couldn't find it in the search.

I saw you can order the MPE with diffuser and without diffuser. I wanted to just keep the stock diffuser for now. In the future however if I wanted to would I still be able to get the MP rear diffuser?

Thanks! This is probably a simple thing I just couldn't find a straight answer on it.

Yes you need extension pipes to move the tips out further. Think $100 from BMW but could be wrong on price.

Personally I'd just wait and do both pieces at the same time so you don't have to mess around with the tail pipe extensions.

I did the MPE with the stock diffuser for about a year and installed the MP diffuser early last month. With the MP diffuser, MP tips sat in just inside the diffuser tip cut-out line. With the stock cover, the MP tips sat out about 1" from the cover. I simply loosened the locking screw on the MP tips, slide the tips outwards out than a 1/2", and tightened the screw. It looks very nice now and the tips are rock solid in place. No extension pipe is necessary, IMO. The extensions tend to push the tips ~1" from the MP diffuser which I think looks a bit weird.

Not an exact comp but when they first did my MPE with stock tips and stock diffuser they left the mid pipe an inch too long, essentially resulting in tips out an inch too far. Did not look good at all IMO.
