MPE valves

When you start up in a cold car the MPE exhaust makes a great sound (exiting only through the right side). Then as you move off a valve closes somewhere and you lose the great sound. Now even in sport mode with exhaust from both left and right side the sound is much more muted. What gives??
Can you somehow capture that start up sound all the time from both sides??

I don't particularly like my MPE on cold start up. Once the valve opens on the left side I prefer the more muted response. It gets loud enough and grumply enough for me under throttle. I think if you want louder sound more often a different, aftermarket, exhaust might be better for you.

It is called "fire" mode, the cold engine has very retarded timing, the reason it is so loud is due to a lot of the ignition occurring in the exhaust.

Just to make sure you understand nothing closes. Something is closed that then opens to allow flow through both sides.

I think its normal. I have a muffler delete so the valve isnt even connect. and after a cold start it dwindles down like 50%. cold start with a muffler delete is beast mode lol
