JB4 OBD Passthrough
Currently have Jb4 in my vehicle. I have tried a scantool obd reader and iCarly obd reader plugged into the jb4 pass through.
Both time JB4 functioned abnormally. Does anyone have any experience with the scantool plugged into jb4? |

It won't work. JB4 needs all the bandwidth.

Was about to pull the trigger on an Awron guage but after researching I realized it wouldn't work with the JB installed. I think when all is said and done with the setup I'm after, I'll ditch the JB4 and get a proper flash tune, then a proper in dash gauge with all of the features. I am against cell phone mounts as I find them a bit "tacky" so I just drop my iPhone in the cup holder and watch my temps that way for now. I actually stopped watching my oil temps because these cars run hot and watching the numbers climb into the 100*c range just annoys the crap out of me, even though it's normal operating range on these cars.. first world problem for sure!

Honestly though I rarely use it anymore unless I'm updating my custom map 6 for some reason. When I track the car I use my main phone in a window mount so I don't have to look down.

All I know is, these cars are running damn hot, way hotter than any car I've owned before. I see an average temp of 110*C around town and cruising at highway speeds, which is about 20*C higher than anything I've seen before. That said, I've done a bit of forum browsing and it seems that is the running temp for these newer turbo cars. Right around 110c/230f, which is hard for me to be "okay" with, lol.. I'll get over it.

Yea just took some time getting used to the new "norm". How's your car running with the new FMIC?

Along with fmic I just added meth. Now I'm tinkering with nozzle size and meth concentration, once I get that ironed out I think I'll finally do my first dyno run. Map 0 and map3. |

Hey you were not joking about this. Lately I have been having connectivity issues just with the app. I figured it out by dumb luck and from this post.
The app would not find the phone, I would turn car of and on of and on, close the app open it, forget Bluetooth, reset blutooth, hold my phone right next to the Rev kit and nothing. I run Waze and Spotify from my phone basically all the time in my car. I actually have them auto start when the detect the cars Bluetooth. I happened to close all apps then try the jb4, and it worked! Apparently the Bluetooth streaming of music and connecting of the app was asking too much of it. Anyways it connects fine now, I just have to start music after I'm connected to jb4 app. |

However to optimize the performance I am changing the mix and nozzle size. If you can read logs ok I would def recommend it. If you have any other questions or want a more in depth description of power/ feel just pm me. |

I was referring to the actual OBDII port bandwidth and the JB4 connection. JB4 does not like having anything else plugged into the actual obd port.

Speaking of oil temps... has anyone heard anything good or bad about this jb4 oil cooler valve. I wonder how much this reduces oil temps in our cars..
http://www.burgertuning.com/sport_oil_cooler_valve.html I did come across this while searching. Definitely looks promising Who has the Sport Oil Cooler Valve from Burger Tuning? http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1137757 |
