I was told by aFe that those scoops don't fit the F22 but the F20 only. Do you know someone with an M235i that has those installed? Because if you do, I'd buy a set for mine

I used to do this exact same thing with my GTR. In Arizona with our shit gas, during the heat of the summer the car would go into low boost mode unless you ran high octane gas. So I would put 2L of e85 and it was AMAZING.

Yeah !! It works a treat hey !! On the Gas Cap it mentions up to E10% so I figured why not add some to the 98 and Boom !! Way better power delivery

+1 on that! Two sellers told me "No, it won't fit your M235i, this fit the M135i as the front end is a little bit different"..... but when chaddy finds someone that has this installed on our cars, I will buy it.

You understand chaddy74 that saying "it fits" is not enough for us, we need to be sure hehehe

Interesting, just had this discussion with a friend. I take it that the drop in 5R filter does as well as the conical intakes then? To be specific, I am considering the two options below:

Simple drop in: $83
http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...0L&&brandID=59

Or the Cold Air Intake Stage 2: $433
http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...0L&&brandID=53

According to AFe, the drop in has more performance, is that true?

not quite.... http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...3#post16713383

drop in - OE replacement performance filter will outflow the stock filter by up to 33%

CAI - out-flowed the factory intake by 29%

So in the first case... the filters are tested standalone just the filter not inside any airbox...
in the second they test stock intake as a whole against the CAI...

So you can't really compare the 29% to the 33%

My conclusion from the other thread was

"if the stock box flows 150 and the OE filter by itself flows 410 and the drop in flow 528 by itself.. I guess the drop-in inside the box should flow around 193 cfm

So i guess 150 (stock) - 193 (drop-in) - 205 (full intake) ... not much improvement in flow from the drop in to the full intake"

I wish they would test all their filters & intakes with the same conditions so you could compare....

Might be it makes not much financial sense to do so as .... drop in is $75 and full intake is $400 and the difference might be just about 10cfm to me 10 more cfm don't think it's worth $300 at least for street driving...
And probably why they don't actually do an apples to apples testing so not to make it that obvious....

The image shows part # 54-12218. AFE website shows this as for N20/N26.

Should we use 54-12208 for N55 instead?

That's why I asked what part you got.
