Crap!!! That's awful! couldn't BMW just locate the car via GPS? of it's last location before the car was shut off?

Other reports are saying it's an M3

Well it definitely isn't an m3. 435i is my guess. The lights are characteristic and as we have been reminded on this forum they outsell us 5-1. Much more likely to be a 4 series.

Looks like the car was unlocked and must of had the keys in it or it wouldn't have started.

Also the highlighted area on the front wing is in keeping with a 4 series air gill.

that's pretty close to what happened to me 2 weeks ago here in Creve Coeur near St Louis, MO. Some one took it within 5 seconds just the moment I left it running and went inside to look for something...

^ At least on a comfort access car they cant get far. Leave it running, take key with you. Lock it
I do it all the time. It will kill itself if you try to move it without the key. Makes that feature more worthwhile. |

That sucks, but the above is what I do whenever I need to get out of my car for any reason and don't want to shut the vehicle off. I suppose someone could break my window and Dukes of Hazard it into my car, but I'm not sure how far they'd get. I once walked away from my car at a car wash and kept my keys without realizing it. The car stayed on through the whole wash, even after I had moved 100 yards away.

crazy! I wonder what the insurance companies in these thefts have to say about their clients leaving their keys in a running car
