Picture Request: 228i Oyster Sensatec
Does anyone have pics of a 228i with Oyster Sensatec seats? It is probably quite rare as you can only get it on "base" 228's without Sport Line or Msport. I like the "Lightness" of the interior and thought someone out there might have one to comment on it. [Oyster Sensatec comes with oyster colored carpet and headliner as well as the seats.]

I had no idea sensatec was available in oyster on the 228. I would have skipped the upgrade to leather if oyster had been available in sensatec on the 235. I do prefer the oyster/black combo though for the carpets.
I hate how they choose which options are available on what - it makes no sense to me for some things. |

It is a so much different than any other interior on the 228 and 235. A google search shows some other models--7 series I believe--with a similar oyster on oyster interior (leather of course). It is also impossible to get sport seats with this interior as it is not available for either the sport line or MSPORT (both of which have anthracite headliners I believe). It I could get sport seats for this color sensatec interior I would seriously consider it.

That color combo in the picture is exactly what I ordered. Still waiting for delivery but already dreading the carpets. That's the one area where they should have gone black. I will probably get black floor mats.

Are you getting the track handling package? If yes, did you have concerns the sport seats won''t be supportive enough? I want to get the track handling package and was thinking of not ordering sport-line or MSPORT but several have commented on the base 228 seats not being supportive enough. I would like to save the 1600 dollars as I don't need the mostly visual additions those lines would bring to a base 228 with THP.

I appreciate sport seats for sporting, but I don't like that they are squeezing on my legs. I will be using this car for commuting as well and prefer to be able to sit back / move my butt around any way I want. So I went with regular seats. |

I would have those seats dirty in the first day and I'm not looking for added work.

If anyone is interested, here is a picture of a UK 1 series with Oyster Leather and Oyster Carpet. I think it looks spectacular with the Fineline wood. |
