I do not think he used the launch control. My friend has a 2015 S3 and it almost beats my E90 M3 both using launch control. The Audi is the best car here. The M235i would represent a better comparison vs. the S3.

audi doesnt make RWD and FWD is not gonna be good. so just to compete they have to bring out their AWD car.

why handicap the bmw, when RWD is their best layout just because Audi doesnt make RWD at all.



i don't get why people think the S3 is naturally the m235s competitor. car company's dont necessarily have cars that line up perfectly as competition and bmw. at the very least the 228i is batting way out of its league. i've seen it in other articles too, IS350 can't compete with 328i because the 335i is bmw's higher car. but the 328i easily competes with the is350 in most benchmarks, so why not. if i just want equivalent performance, i don't care what the manufacturers lineup looks like, i care about cars that compete.

No M235i because the comparison is between cars with 4 cyl engines - the M235i is a 6 cyl engine. I don't see why they couldn't have got a 228i xdrive so that both had AWD instead of making it AWD vs RWD.

What's with all the TFL hate? I watch their videos, they are not bad. Maybe inaccurate here and there but these guys seem enthusiastic about what they do.

Its not that I don't appreciate cars getting reviewed and tested. I do. The point I'm making is I cannot believe any auto manufacturer would waste a dime loaning out their fleet to these guys. As another poster mentioned, their videos are continually cluttered with erroneous facts, their camera work and editing is on par with embarassing, and frankly they are not entertaining in the slightest bit. So again I ask, "why does Audi and BMW loan vehicles to these guys?", rather than letting an amateur such as Nick Murray (an amateur/hobbyist/car enthusiast) review these vehicles. I am not comparing TFL to Top Gear production mind you, I am simply using Nick Murry an enthusiast with no journalistic experience (to my knowledge he is an IT guy) as an example. Any of Nick's videos will blow any TFL video out of the water. So how is it that videos produced by an amateur (no offense Nick) with a fulltime job obliterates a full blown youtube show dedicated to reviewing cars? And you ask why are people so hard on these guys? I am just shocked how manufacturers have a budget to allocate to productions like TFL.

Good grief, who are those 2 guys in this forum? I really couldn't care less if anyone else enjoyed it or hated their review, just gave my personal opinion about their review. I just mentioned that I really don't enjoy theirs, but that makes me ungrateful and a douche. Hell, that would make me ungrateful for a lot of things on Youtube, not to mention the biggest douche lawgone and 2msport have ever seen .

I completely agree. Their reviews are painful to watch with misguided facts and an overall lack of professionalism. I've also ran into these guys at a cars and coffee event here in CO, and they were some arrogant pricks in person. One minute I'm looking at several BMWs parked next to each other, the next there is a video camera pointed in my direction and these guys are yelling at me to get out of their shot.
