Yesterday I was at the industry preview for the NAIAS and my god, the M235i in person is FANTASTIC. Forget the M3/M4 (or as I think of them, more spiritual successors of the old M5/M6), THIS is the car to get if you want what BMW has always been known for. Of course I haven't driven it yet, but it's gorgeous in person, perfectly proportioned and sized, truly great driving position.... And yeah, I am beyond ready to take one for a spin when they come to dealers.

One note, I'm just over 6'4" and I really felt my eye line was too high/wished the seat tracks were an inch lower. I got used to it after sitting back in it second time, but still will need to drive it to check.

I'm personally holding out hope for an M2 at some point, if it doesn't come to fruition and I can get used to the slightly higher sight line on the windshield than I like ill be ordering one sooner or later.

Thanks Nanceman. Was the BMW stand maxed out, a lot of new models on show which is great. How would you rate the rear leg room for 7+9 year old nippers?

Now what color is that.That doesn't look like Melbourne red metallic.
