I believe he's in Montreal. I was following up on his previous posts and that's where he mentioned. Since the vehicle was released at July 4 and the delivery from Halifax to Montreal was July 15th, it means it took 11 days for it to arrive to his dealership after disembarking the ship.

I guess there's also a difference between buying a 228i or a M235i and also if it's a RWD or Xdrive and a difference of 8AT or 6MT which could delay the production of a vehicle. I know my car and another M235i were 2 days apart and were resulted on the same boat coming across the Atlantic. Only difference between the two M235i's are one's 6MT and other is 8AT. Both will be delivered to the exact same dealership so I doubt they'll separate the shipment. Interesting that sypher's is production of June 16th but got on the earlier boat than mine. Maybe they worked on 228i's before working on M235i's so those had an earlier boat!!

I'm in Ottawa actually. I asked about Montreal because that's the closest CN railhead to Ottawa. From there, the car goes on a truck to the dealership.

There's definitely a delay on M235i for some reason. I should also note that the only options I got were M Performance and track package. I recall seeing that the nav units caused a delay in production, so if you got a nav unit, that may be why.

Ordered my M240i today! Got the 6MT convertible in glacier silver with coral red interior. Aluminum hexagon/black trim. Premium, Executive, and storage packages, and the smartphone connectivity package. CarPlay will be installed at the dealer when it arrives, most likely. Build week to come next week. Too excited. It will be a long wait until the end of Sept estimated delivery.

anyone have issues using the hansen site? car confirmed delivered from halifax but when i try to track on lhf.com doesnt work.

Yea... I've been checking on two M235i which landed at Halifax since July 13th but still no signs of the two cars on their sites yet. Been checking several times a day for the past 3 days now.

When did yours land at Halifax? Hansen's will only show up when your car arrives to the rail yard and BMW makes the order then. BMW won't pre-schedule any types of deliveries until the car is physically at the yard.

ie. When production is complete and ready to roll, they will place an order for the delivery truck to send it to the ship yard. When the delivery truck releases the car to the parking lot at the ship yard then BMW will order for the next ship out. The car will then drive into the ship and make its voyage across the Atlantic but BMW won't place an order for the CN train until the car arrives and is released by the ship and parked into their lot. The car will eventually make it on the train to the destination city, once it gets to the train yard and is released by CN, BMW then makes the order for Hansen's.

Apparently the entire process can be anywhere from 6-8 weeks from their production plant to your dealership!

Keep in mind that unless you have a commercial account, you can't track CN. A few days after the car arrives at Halifax, contact your SR and ask them for the status of the car. They can tell you when it is expected to arrive at your closest rail yard.

That's good to know it arrived to Montreal from Halifax for you in about a weeks time (Assuming 7 days) it would take an additional 3 days to get to Toronto making it about 10. Then I guess it would take about another day or two before it shows up on Hansen! Based on those calculations then I should be seeing it on Hansen's website either on Wednesday or Thursday.

As of 9:40am this morning LHF (Hansen's) showed my car's vin scheduled for delivery for Wednesday July 27th! The wait is almost over!

Yeah!! My car is now at the dealership and scheduled a pickup for Thursday! I am getting united with my car soon! Can't wait for the first drive in it.

Order date: May 9. Pickup date: tentatively Thursday July 28th. Pics to be posted on another thread when I get it.

Congrats guys! I've got close to 300km on mine since I've picked it up. Would be more if it wasn't for the few days of rain storms we had here (refusing to drive a freshly detailed car out in rain if at all possible
