^if it comes in at the SAME price point, say $55k, I'm in. I think the GT350 will actually be more...$60k plus, just a hunch

Yeah, so more pictures were revealed of the GT350, and this time they weren't CGI.
Well... it turns out that the car is somehow better looking than I originally thought. Wow. Just wow. BMW, keep that price down pleassssssse. haha |

For me the deal breaker would be the engine. I don't care if it's labeled N55 or Z55!! Lol, It just needs to be more than an up-tune version of the N55 in the M235, specifically it needs to rev higher, build revs faster and hold max power to redline

I think the price will be an important factor for me, if the value is not there over the M235i or if the price is too close to an M4/3 then I think BMW will miss the boat. I suspect they will hit the sweet spot between performance and value, if not then it will be a real shame.

Personal preference for BMW cars (total package - look 'n feel), but nice to read that "All that power reaches the rear wheels through a lightweight six-speed manual transmission":

Given the Shelby Cobra GT500 is only priced at $55.1K base, I can't believe the GT350 would be more expensive that the former halo car, at least at base price. I would pay $55k for a fully pimp'd version given the sound it produces. Even with all the manufacturing flaws Ford's come with; I saw a bunch during the press launch with this prototype.

Like others said,
-Price: I would love to add a f80 m3 as a daily but don't think I can afford it even as a stripper. If the M2 costs under $60k well equipped, I will seriously consider it. -Performance: I'm sure it'll be a beast but it's still gotta offer something extra than the m235 does, power, weight, handling, etc. I don't plan on selling my e93 M3 and plan on keeping it as a weekender for a long time. I'll be looking to use the M2 as a daily so it has to be a really fun car to sway me away from getting a more practical f80. For now until the e93 is paid off, all I have is time so I'm going to sit back and see how everything unfolds.
