Arrow Came across some M235i-Racings... ;)

A few weeks ago I was up in Dusseldorf. I decided to pop into Classic Remise(one of my favorite car storage places)... anyways... while look around the "shops" vendor areas... I spot these wonderful beauties! They had just detailed the the cars and it was the week before the 24h race of Nurburgring. No idea what they were doing in there. But I really dug the details for the M235i Racing! The guys in there were giving me the "evil eye" for taking so many pics, so I really didn't want to impose too much on them. Sorry for the rushed photos - not my best work. But still this race car is very interesting.

Seems that the M235iR is giving Porsche some good competition for a turn-key factory built racer.

Enjoy,
Dackel

You know what I've just realized....I've been there and it was such a random occurrence! Very random and off-topic OP (sorry for that), but I just had an "AHA!" moment.

Great pics!

Lol those dolls are super creepy!

I really wish the M2 took more design characteristics from the M235i racing (ie the flares and the front bumper). It looks gorgeous.

That wide body kit is hot!

Are there carpool lanes with minimum occupancy regulations in Germany? Maybe that's what they're for. Some people put mannequins in the front with sunglasses and hats or put hats on their dogs. They're not fooling anyone!

Thanks for the pics. Would love to see those things racing.

That's exactly what came to my mind too. But no, Germany doesn't have those silly HOV(2) lanes here.

You need to come to Spa or the 'Ring...

(sorry in French)...

I also found this video from JP Performance... he is also up in Dusselldorf... JP is a bit of a TV celeb. He has his own tuning show on German TV.

Basically in this video he shows you a M235iRacing... the only mods he does to the car is a FMIC from Wagner, SW tuning(you have to remove the intake manifold and a catless Downpipe. But check out all that cool "kit" the basic car has. Diff cooler, fuel cell, slicks, race exhaust, etc... These cars are really quite trick.

(Sorry in German)...

Totally agree.

I felt like they NAILED the aggressive nature on the M235i Racing...this should have been the starting point for the M2 :-/

It's a stunning car and I'm sure pics do it no justice!

Yep, they don't. The M235iRacing just looks so much meaner in the flesh.

I wish the overfenders blended in a bit more with the natural flow of the body.

You can checkout 2 teams racing the m235iR in the US on the PWC tour in TC class.
Classic BMW is currently points leader in the m235iR with Toby Grahovec behind the wheel.

Had a chance to talk with Toby while they where at Limerock. Dude is super cool. You can also buy the m235iR through Classic BMW for about 92k usd but don't expect to register it.

The design is for racing, easy to replace, cheap modification rather than whole new body. No one racing cares what it looks like, just how it functions.

This is a lot of race car for 92k, but I think I would go with the new spec Miata. In Europe yes, where there is a whole m235i cup, here in the states, not enough sold to race competitively.
