New member, just bought my M235 in Germany.
Hi there, small introduction since i will be spending some time here.
I bought our M235i last friday in Germany. In The Netherlands where i am from they charge a ridiculous amount of taxes so we searched in Germany. It will be delivered somewhere in the coming 2 weeks i hope! And it will be a bit of a surprise as i did not see the car in real life. I have not driven one yet, but ever since i took my racing driver course in a E30 i am hooked on RWD and especially BMW, this wil be my 4th Bimmer (I drove a 116i and a new type 320i) My current car is an old type 120i M-sport which handles perfectly but lacks power, so it will be a massive upgrade in power and looks. Hope to learn here, exchange tips and read here all about my new "baby". Attached are some pics of my current car and the car that started my enthusiasm for the Bavarians. Best, Frank |

Thanks guys,
cannot explain how much better this car drives than my current 120i Steering is way better than i expected, i drove a 3 series with electric steering and that did not felt this good. This engine is legendary! Defintely the best car i have ever driven. These were 500 terrific kilometers! Too bad i had to drop it off, it now goes through dutch customs en road tax bullcrap stuff, license plates yadayada.... Have to pay on top of everything a ridiculous amount of money to put it on the road here. Pic from iphone, will do a nice shoot later on. I have the Sapphire Black, memory seats hexagon Alcantara interior, HK sound and i think pretty much every option except for the diff. These will be 2 long weeks.... (Its named Gunther, i know some of you name their cars too...right? ) |

Nicely done! Glad the trip was good. Mine was named by a friend as the 'bullet'!! Enjoy it. I love the color and the M235i looks great in Black!

Manual transmission still is the standard for most enthousiasts, but its slowly fading away.... BMW offers a great automatic transmission for free and other brands carry good dual clutch systems. This automatic in the M235 is really great because it takes care of 90% of our driving aspirations. Its really great! For an automatic.... Offcourse would a dual clutch even be better, On the race track i rather drive a manual. I think most non-enthousiasts drive fwd manual, because those are cheaper. |
