Pretty sure that's not true. You can turn comfort ventilation from your cell phone though. But that's just a fan.

AC would be a pretty bit change, since it requires engine to be on. And with 6MT I'm not sure how you accomplish that if the car isn't in neutral...

This is part of connected drive and that particular feature might only be available using an android phone. You would have to buy the car and register the connected drive feature for it to work.

He said it only turns on the battery, and it automatically turns off after 30 mins so it doesn't die.

Is this part of the tech package? Or would it be standard assuming you had a smart phone to register? Thanks

AC doesn't use to battery to my knowledge. Compressor is run off the engine.

Ventilation uses the battery and works pretty well though.

Depends where you are. Connected drive is part of premium package for me.

Hmmm. Not sure if he was trying to pull a fast one on me or just didn't know the features that well. Can you turn the heat on to warm it up in the winter without the engine running? THanks for the help!

Sounds like your dealer is another person who confuses fan with AC. Again.. The AC can NOT run without the engine. Perhaps he was just trying to sell you. It's funny when a dealer says "oh this shiny new car has this super cool feature! But I don't know how to make it work". Either he has a lack of knowledge or the feature doesn't exist. It is possible to remote start the car and code the AC to turn on with a button. But using the battery, well that is not possible in these vehicles.

No you can not. Heat comes from residual engine heat.

No it was 3G as well.

Just that the base radio didn't come with cellular at all.

alright you sarcastic bunch. I worded my post incorrectly. I didn't mean code as in aftermarket coding. But was referring to BMW coding it from the factory to have an option to remotely start your car and toggle the AC on from an app.

you can set two timers to start the fan in the car at a specific time... Thats all I can do with mine. So those lower dust break pads wont be fitted to the M235i because those are performance breaks? That adjustible steering would be cool. Tear up some canyons putting around in Eco mode!

Looks like "Ambient lighting" which was part of the '14 premium package is now standard on the '15, although I am not sure what that includes... according to the new ordering guide.

The "low dust brakes", are those the ceramic pads similar to the Akebono Euro Ceramic
Brake Pads?
