I'm still waiting for mine and the dealer won't do the work until I have one.

I believe my car is within the affected range, but I haven't received a letter yet.

Check with my dealer today, they still say that there is no open recalls on my M235i even though it is clearly in the recall dates.

Just thought I'd update everyone. Got a letter in the mail today stating that there is a recall on the fuel pump but that they are not ready to conduct the recall. They will send another letter when they are ready to go.

I wonder if it affects 2015 models as well. Heard my fuel pump make noises like it was empty when I still had half a tank a couple of days ago.

Got my letter as well. When my 135i was recalled for vanos bolts, it took over 6 months to get the second notice to come in and have the work done.

Even with the letter, my dealer said I had to wait for the second letter to arrive before they would replace the fuel pump. He estimated 6 more months.

So I wonder what the purpose of the first letter is. So if your car breaks down in the interim you will have an idea what the problem is? :-) I assume the delay has to do with the number of replacement pumps Bosch needs to make (as this is now a huge recall involving several different vehicle manufacturers), and that they simply don't have the ability to manufacture all the replacements overnight.

The letter tells you what to do in the event of a stall or check engine light. I feel that it is too little too late at that point.

They have some fuel pumps available but not enough for everyone. So only if yours fails will they give you a new fuel pump.
