OK -- found this white sticker . Several raised # like the one you can see in the 1st photo. I was looking for the # 33108659987 but this is what I found & it was via a mirror & was a PIA to capture.
. . Without any further clues -- I will just let BMW tell me what it is. . . Any further help would be much appreciated . . I have all kinds of photos of the raised # on the outside of the black housing. |

Answer is NO -- Forget the Part Numbers
I jacked up rear end (both sides) and witnessed that as I turned one wheel the other rear wheel turned in the opposite direction --- this is NOT LSD as they would have both turned in the same direction.

STILL - I want one
Even if not for just improved wet & wintery traction -- I want one.
. . But at 2k just for the purchase -- I will wait until I can find a better deal. . I am hoping to keep the car for a long time so I am willing to wait. . Only had the car 2 weeks -- 16k miles. Looking at tires , rotors & pads. . Starting with tint this week . . I wonder if the BMW LSD is the best way to go over other LSD Options? |
