She's finally home...

Well, we made it! Just over 1,000 miles from PCD back to NJ. Here are some photos from along the way. Driving home was so much fun, it's been a great experience so far. PCD was a blast!

I've been very well behaved on break-in, turned 1100 miles this morning...almost there! The night I got home, I changed out the front and rear reflectors and added the black mirror caps. Tint scheduled in two weeks. Other than the tint, the only other cosmetic change I'm looking to do is add the MP front lip spoiler. Then it's a stage 1 tune...still deciding which one.

I know there have been quite a few opinions posted on this color combo, but I absolutely love it! Hope you enjoy the pics, I apologize about size/quality, phone camera was all that was easily accessible for this trip.

Very nice, both the car and the drive! I've been looking at taking that drive as I just live down the road in MD.

By the way, the superman look is nicer than I thought it would be...very nice!

The Blue Ridge Parkway was a great drive, with some really fun tangent roads too...my favorite was 226A or "Diamondback Loop" http://www.diamondbacknc.com/route.html right by Little Switzerland. Shot some nice video during that drive!

Very nice AAR! This is making me more excited for my 10.29 PCD. What are you plans for the front license plate? Who placed the inspection sticker in the windshield, you or them?

Thanks JP! PCD is awesome, it's a must-do from now on for me.

For the front plate, I ordered the US Mill Works bracket. Hopefully it doesn't set off the parking sensors. I won't have the plate for a few weeks, but I might test-fit another plate this weekend.

They asked if I'd like to place the sticker, but I chose to have them put it on while I checked the alignment of it from the other side of the windshield.

Very nice ride and thanks for all of the pics. Haven't done PDC yet, but I've done the driving school up there a couple of times. Driving those routes is certainly on my to-do list.

PCD definitely made me more interested in the driving schools they offer. I'll have to start saving for that!

Attached are a few more recent pictures. I installed the front splitter and US Mill Works plate bracket along with a few other cosmetic things. Only tint is left to do before winter. Plan on 20% all around.

Thanks again for the positive feedback! I'm still absolutely in love with the color combination and I'm excited for each day I get to drive this car!

Well we have twins cuz I'm picking up your twin in about a month! Estoril Blue and Coral red M235 XDrive convertible.

Is yours XDrive or RWD?

No trouble at all. I installed it with the four right-most mounting points and haven't had a false sensor yet. Once it was on the car, it was easy to adjust the angle of the bracket, so I imagine troubleshooting wouldn't be too bad. FWIW, I did buy the kit for a car with the parking sensors. I'm not sure that they're different though.

Awesome, are you picking it up PCD/ED or local? Either way I'm sure it'll be a great experience.

Mine is RWD. I would have preferred XDrive given the typical Northeast winters, but I guess BMW couldn't fit the packaging of a 6MT with the XDrive. So I had to compromise on one, and the XDrive went. Very happy with that decision. Winter tires will be going on in a few weeks and I should be good to go.
