Very e46 like size, def bigger than current car. Looks like a winner! 315 hip is kind of a strange thing no? M135i is supposed to have the full PPK kit with additional cooling and it makes 5 less HP than the simple PPK on the regular 135i

Any speculations on if these will be available with Xdrive?... They look pretty stable in that snow video, but it could be the caliber of driver...

Did you see the link to VIN information in the first post?

It lists both 228i xDrive and M235i xDrive.

Really looking forward to this one. Like others have said, definitely a 2 series, most likely the high output 4cylinder i.e. 228i, due to the left side twin tailpipes consistent with the F30, while the M235i spy pics show split pipes as previous 335i models have had and current F20 135i hatch.

Also hope they don't screw up the headlights and given the recent news of an early facelift to the F20 I think they may be more careful to make this good looking. I always thought the previous 1series headlights were made intentionally questionable to not compete with 3series which wouldn't upset anyone in the styling department. The 4series moves up a tier so perhaps that allows the 2series to shine a bit more ..

I'm kind of excited about the new 2 series. I'm REALLY hoping there will be an M2.

Yes. They are planning a 2 series sedan (gran coupe) to compete with the Merc CLA.

Yeah, but the current 1er coupe came out before BMW started doing that. Also the M135i has one on each side whereas the lesser models do not.

What would happen if someone uncovered it while it was parked, what type of charges would be pressed by BMW lol ?

Looking good. This is in our back yard for sure. Does look like the LA hills. Can the OP confirm the location.

If there is only going to be an M235 in the states for the first model year, I would think it would have shadow line instead of the aluminum trim. Therefore 228i?
