Drives best when driven fast

Is it just me or does thus car drive better when you really drive it fast? If I'm driving really slow I'll notice the artificial resistance in the steering wheel and the super bouncy suspension and it annoys me.
Then when spirited driving is called for, the car performs perfectly. I don't notice these issues at all and I usually think "wow, that was awesome. That exceeded my expectations.

+1. To really appreciate the steering and suspension you really need to take it on some windy roads.

Just returned a few minutes ago from a spirited drive on a very curvy country road and the car really came into it's own. So in a word, yes, the car likes to be really driven. And the grip in corners! Wow!

I drew the short straw and had to drop off the dry-cleaning on Friday. Took a new way to work and saw a "Warning, dangerous curves next 5 miles" sign as soon as I left the place on the way to the office. Needless to say I will be volunteering to drop things off from now on!

Yes. The car annoys the shit out of me in parking lots, neighborhoods and straight roads with low speed limits and lots bumps.
Then the car performs heroically in the fast twisty stuff.

I think my Sport Line 228i has an excellent ride at all speeds, better than my E90 328i with sport package. (Then again, this could just be an illusion because the new car is so much tighter and quieter over bumps than the old one.)

As for steering, I like the light steering at slow speeds. As I found out today, though, I like the steering better on the E90 when driving enthusiastically through the twisties. I couldn't really detect the lack of feel from the electric steering until I started pushing the car. I'd rate the handling and sport seats better on the 228, but when it comes to the steering, there is just something missing.

Hmmm, i did some spirit driving the other day and it was somewhat soft (steering and suspension), only 1300 miles so maybe things havent fully settled...I hope

Or maybe Im still use to the e90 hard/tight steering

It also comes down to what setting you are using. IF you drive in slow areas with Sport + then yeah it does get a bit bounce and the steering can feel a bit slow. Try using comfort in those situations and see if that helps.

I've raised my speed [bling!] warning twice, and I still hit it regularly.

To agree with OPs post,

I feel like a grandma on my commute in the morning because I'm tired, there's traffic and I'm going maximum 60 mph. In this scenario, I feel like the car performed as well as my 1998 Accord.

However, the drive home is a different story. I usually work OT so I skip the traffic. On the parkway I get her up to 95 usually and then it feels like a MONSTER And then in city driving the car definitely feels more tuned.
