Here is the whole thing. The opening is from the bottom. You could just cut a small window in it instead and cut the 3" mesh tube out of the middle section to get the same result. No one has opened one up yet so that's why I cut mine WAY open. Way more pictures and information in the exhaust section post. I'm going to post a couple videos tonight.

Finally got my car into body shop.

Had mirror caps painted alpine white and the amber side reflectors, too.

Installed Dinan exhaust and M performance exhaust valence ( a gift from a friend, lucky me). Sounds awesome. A bit loud at start up but a nice throaty sound thru the rev range as much as I could test it today with our miserable weather.

The Dinan with the ASD coded out really lets you hear the real sound of the marvelous power plant under the hood.

I am sure there will be some commentary from my SO the first time I start it in the garage. Hopefully not too much rhetoric considering I start the 911 in the garage and its not exactly quiet.

The guys in the body shop basically set it up as full open with solenoid disconnected and wired to body in case it needed reconnecting.

Here is a very weak attempt to capture the sound. Never tired this before. Just my iphone on an upside down recycling bin. Hopefully you can get an idea of how it sounds

Had 3M Crystalline tint installed. I liked the appearance of some other brands I researched better, but I've had skin cancers cut out more times than I can count so decided on the higher UV protection.

It turns out my research was somewhat outdated as I thought 40 was the darkest they made in that line, but when I arrived at the shop I found out they now have a 20. Went with 20 on all windows and 70 for windshield.

From far away I think it improves the appearance of the car. Close up it looks terrible but they said it will improve in the next couple days. I left it on the roof of my parking garage at work to bake in the sun for a few days.

I've been having fun tweaking things a little, she's getting there. Recently brushed my chrome tips for a satin silver finish, added M style CF mirror caps and double slat grill. Still waiting for my BBS wheels...they're taking a long time to get.

Changed to the MP shift knob yesterday. Surprised at just how much a positive difference it has made for me. Feels much better now.

Wish it was carbon/leather rather than carbon/alcantara still though...

Slowly getting there with the carbon wrap. I don’t like how the dash turned out with the grain going long ways, i will probably redo it.

How tough is this to do? Does it require skill? Patience or both? Patience I have. And if the skill is not too hard to develop, perhaps I'll give it a go.

Did you ever attempt anything like this before you did this one?

Tuningwerk exhaust installed. Tips stick out way too far, I'll need to have a muffler shop make me some custom tips, as the Burnt ones are welded on and the muffler is as far back as it can go. Sounds fantastic though!!
