Carbon fiber spoiler imperfections

Sorry to make a new thread but I just wanted some opinions from people who might know better than me.

I picked up my car last week and today I noticed some imperfections with my carbon fiber spoiler. There are a number of areas on the tip of the spoiler that almost look like circular dents. I don't know if these are just minor imperfections from the mold, or if they are actual dents.

Does anyone have similar imperfections on their spoiler?

Not the best pictures but you can see the line of light reflect around the dent in the picture, to five an idea of what I mean.

Oh right, I can see them. Is this a BMW CF spoiler? If so you could get your dealer to replace. If aftermarket have you contacted the seller? Surely they'd exchange it.

It's a BMW carbon fiber spoiler that I ordered through the dealer.

I just wanted to know if these are just common imperfections or if I would be justified in contacting my dealer for potential replacement. I don't want to replace it just to get a new one with the exact issues.

I don't see the problem. Have them re-order and if it comes in as defective again, what's the additional downside for you? You don't have to accept another equally defective part, of course. They'll just send it back...who knows, maybe the third time will be the charm and the dealer will do all the logistics.

I cannot imagine that is common. That kinda looks like a piece or debris got into the mold would be my guess.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad that I'm not at least going insane.

I will see what my dealer has to say

If I noticed that on mine I would of sent it back.. now you have me wanting to go check mine. I didn't notice anything like that.

EDIT: Mine looks perfect from what I can see.

Good to know yours is OK as that increases the chances of the OP getting a good one next time....they are not "all like that"! But, I think there is still time for you to send back "would of" from that sentence for warranty repair!

Just an update (and in case anyone else has a similar problem)... my dealer replaced the spoiler, and the new one has no bubbles or dents, so it looks like there was indeed a fault with the old one.

Thank you everyone.
