Very easy to install just pop the old stuff off and put the new stuff on. If you're even reasonably competent with that sort of thing maybe 15 mins total. With the CR the alum was just too light, wanted a clean look with less going on so the red would really pop and be the only focal point. CF was a lot more money and had too much going on for my taste, this was perfect. |

Does the gloss black get a lot of fingerprints or dust? I think it looks better than many options, I just don't know how easy it is to scratch / get dust and/or fingerprints.

Gloss black trims are usually a bit of a pain if you're an "OCD" kinda guy. I have had it in past cars and always kept a mini swiffer auto duster nearby to keep it dust free. Using a cloth, even micro fiber, may start to scuff the finish over time, and if "OCD" is strong, it will get worse. But if you're okay with a quick dusting every few days, it'll look really sharp!

Covered it for the winter yesterday in my sister-in-law's garage, some 15 miles away from home. I will leave it covered until March 2017.
I filled the tank with gas, added 5 pounds to each tire, put dryer sheets in the engine bay, trunk, and exhaust tips (to keep mice out), hooked up a battery tender, and covered it with a California Car Cover cover. We also put some mouse traps in the garage and will keep an eye on those. It's a sad day when I put it away for the winter. But the winters here in New England mean snow and salt on the roads and I just don't want to subject the car to that. Next week I will put a set of winter tires on my 2003 Mini daily driver and let it take the abuse.

I took advantage of the long weekend to give a long overdue wash and swapped on the winters. Now if only it would get cold so I don't melt them off.

front bumper grill remove/replace
Yep, me again! After searching here, the only reference I can find is removal of E90 front bumper grill(s); looks like it's one peice on the M235ix, can it be removed w/o taking off the front bumper? Just received GrimmSpeed "world rally blue" spray paint and painted a few external items and it contrasts the black saphire really well. Intend on painting the front center bumper grill and new "Dinan" as well.
Another question; what quantifies a vehicle GTS (grand touring sport)?? Would it be "bad-form" to slap that on the bumper next to the Dinan badge?? I appreciate everyone's insight/recs that have not only saved me $$'s but more importantly kept me from making an ass of myself. Furthermore it's absolutely amazing that with just a few exterior item's painted my top speed has increased from 193 to 197 mph, go figure how did that happen?? Must be similar to the wax or maybe it's because I've made >5 posts http://www.2addicts.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif. BTW; the paint is on sale at GrimmSpeed |

Installed the Dinantronics stage 2 that I got on sale during black Friday. Already have the Dinan CAI and the MPE. Pretty simple install despite the cramped quarters where the DME is located. Road test after seems like quite a difference but i'll have to drive it for a few weeks then set it to bypass to see the difference

black & blue 2016 Dinan M235ix
got some "world rally blue" and I think it adds a cool accent, as soon as I receive the new dinan badge will paint the same too. Debating adding "GTS" after Dinan badge pending your input. As you can see I have a crack in windshield pending replacement (is there any "real" difference between OEM and after-market Safelite glass??)

Installed blizzaks on my m rims and ordered m performance 624 rims / tires for after the winter haha. My excuse I can't have the winter broken down again to put summers on.. it damages the rims and tires..plus they were on sale haha
