Anyone add the BMW Performance Suspension to M235i yet?

So I find the M235i too soft and several have said that I should pay for a premium car and gut the suspension for a couple thousand more dollars in favor the BMW Performance suspension. So I am very curious if anyone has done that? How is it? Since M235i comes with EDC, does it require programming or leave any warnings lights?

too soft for daily use ? maybe too soft for track use. Question is how much more fun can this thing get with mods ? Pour money into modding or enjoy stock until M2 comes out and then trade up ..

I want to hear from someone with bmw M performance suspension as well. I hope the next person that responds actually has it, instead of "why do you think it's soft blah blah blah" or any other unsolicited bullshit.

It says at the bottom ***Not for vehicles equipped with Adaptive M Suspension. Doesn't the M235i come with adaptive susp?

link OP provided says
The car will corner with less body roll thanks to stiffer spring rates over stock. *The required BMW M Performance Springs are bundled into our kit! **Must include vin with order. ***Not for vehicles equipped with Adaptive M Suspension.

So I guess this suspension kit only lowers height by 10mm. No stiffer springs since adaptive M suspension is std on M35. No ?

Dang! I missed that part! Thanks for pointing it out.
Yes, the M2 seems like the right formula but that is two years away so if there was something else, that would be a nice option.

Why would you change the entire suspension prior to installing stiffer springs first?

I have Dinan springs on my car and I must say its stiff enough.

Because springs and shocks should be matched for optimum performance.

If you put a stiffer spring, you need a corresponding increase in rebound dampening. Maybe the EDC can do some compensating but I prefer fixed or adjustable fixed firm suspension.

Thanks

Got it...fyi the adaptive suspension and the dinan springs seemed to be matched pretty well. my car is not bouncy what so ever but at the same time its pretty stiff in sport +

either way good luck with your mod.

Only in US. I live in Europe and Adaptive susp is an option here. I have a fixed sport suspension on my M235i.

That's interesting, maybe the EDC self adjusts rebound with the stiffer springs. The thing that is worries me is that EDC has software controlling it that is calibrated for the soft springs so if you hit a bump and it compresses the stiffer spring, the software assumes a certain rebound and adjusts to dampen it but it is only expecting so much rebound force. If it is monitoring piston velocity and sees the faster piston and can easily increase dampening that might work! Not sure but a fascinating question. Thanks for the input.

Europe gets all the good stuff!!!! Stinks!

We get stuck with EDC and vinyl seats with M-Sport, you guys get a choice of suspensions and the Alcantara Cloth interior. Do you have the Alcantara interior?
