m235i: Side stripes with red border?

Howdy,

I have a 2015 m235i with side stripes installed by the dealer. My stripes are black with a grey border. I have seen pics online of black side stripes with a RED border. Are these red versions commercially available or only pre-release? Thanks!

you can get them at your dealer! bmw sells both versions.

You can definitely order them through the BMW dealer, here are the part numbers you need to give them.

black+silver = 51 14 2 351 086
black+red = 51 14 2 288 168

out of curiousity, how many hours/what was the price your dealer charged you for the install?

Is not available in the USA

I had to order mine from Germany, and have it shipped to me via a mail forwarding service.

I have black+red = 51 14 2 288 168 in hand now, not yet installed.

It DOES exist!

Yes, I finally installed this part. It does indeed exist. Looks great. Looks exactly like the online photos available already. My car is alpine white.

I had the dealer install. Sorry I don't have any pics, but it looks exactly like those photos already available online.
