DIY Exhaust Tips

I would like to find a straight cut single wall 4" exhaust tip for my m235i.

I have not been able to fine any that I like. I was thinking of getting a 3.5" section of stainless steel tubing, tack welding a reducer pipe on one side with a nut and set screw to clamp exhaust pipe.

Has anyone done anything like this before? Anyone know where I could buy cheap small section of 3.5" stainless steel pipe?

McMaster sells a 12" length of 3.5" OD type 304 for $30 plus shipping, $40 for type 316.
