Dinan intake DIY

Is there a DIY specific to the m235i for a Dinan Intake install? I have read the Dinan doc and it seems pretty straightforward except for the "snow valve" part. Also, is there anything software related I need to do so I don't mess it up? One YouTube review said that it "ran funny" for a few days and then the "ECU seemed to figure it out"... that doesn't sound good to me!
Any comments/suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you

They YouTube thing is bullshit. It's all easy and exactly like the instructions except cutting the brace is hard-ish if you have a vert.

Otherwise spend the $10 to get a rivet gun and you'll be done with the whole thing in 15 mins. Oh be careful removing the breather valve or whatever it's called that plastic retaining ring is brittle. Don't use squeeze too hard.

Pretty simple intstall. Hands down the worst part for me was dropping one of the clips that hold the upper airbox to the lower one. Had to get magnet-creative to get it back.

The snowvalve is self explanatory once you look at it. Like BEM-S4 said, you'll need a mini rivet gun.

+1 on all of this not a difficult install. Do be careful with the the valve / plastic hose. It is very easy to break and if you do it is like $30-40 even though it doesn't look like it. Broke it on my F10 back when I had it changing the plugs as this had to come off on that model to do it.
