New Item for F22 M235I - Challenge Stainless Steel Brake line kit

New Item for F22 M235I - Challenge Stainless Steel Brake line kit

These are the first set we just finished up. We will be keeping this on the shelf for all you M235i guys. Our F30 customers that have essentially the same brakes report much better pedal feel and more linear pressure. Same attributes were reported by our F10 M5 customers as well. A must for anyone taking their car to the track or just wants smooth consistent braking coming into the turns on spirited drives!

This full stainless steel line kit for the M235i replaces all your flexible brake lines on your performance car. We retained the stock line configurations and mounting points for an OEM quality fit and finish. Challenge uses stainless steel braided TeflonŽ hoses. Each line has a clear coating protecting it from any of the elements. Stainless steel braided TeflonŽ brake lines will not expand or contract under braking. This results in a vehicle with less brake pedal travel, without locking the brakes. All parts and components are DOT approved. Made in USA and includes lifetime warranty!

MSRP: $115.00

Please contact us or any Challenge dealer with questions!

More than likely will be an upgrade for me shortly. Waiting on some funds to clear up before my next big stage of this platform

When you mention better brake pedal feel, you mean less "mushy" with a bit more resistence? I haven't received my car yet, but when I tried it did not like the brake pedal feel (too mushy and long) nor the clutch (too light).

Actually, is there anything that can be done to add "weight" to the clutch?

Thanks

The most common feedback is that some of the "mush" is gone and the pedal feels a little more progressive in brake actuation. Besides these benefits its good piece of mind for cars that may see a decent amount of track or auto x etc. as the stainless line is less effected by heat.

We can ship lines to the UK for super cheap. $12!

We'll have a downpipe shortly followed by muffler and mid pipe. Lip and diffuser also on the drawing board

Yeah then I'd have to pay import too lol.

I'll hold you to $12 shipping when a lip spoiler is available though!

Always a good mod to add. The feel is always so much better and induces more confidence.

Do you know where I can find some reviews of this upgrade? Can I ask my dealer to install them?

I'm interested to slightly upgrade my brakes on the car (new fluids, pads...) to get more confidence on the road and on the track.

We have a number of customer feedback reviews in our F30/E9X M3 and F10 M5 brake lines sales threads. The constant feedback seems to be better pedal feedback and slightly more progressive engagement. The F22 and F30 share almost the same brake specs FYI.

Your dealer should have no problem installing them as they are a full bolt on part.

Good idea. Thank you. Honestly, you are the first person to ever request the data even.

Please provide an estimate of total install time by a qualified mechanic so one can estimate total installed cost. Thanks.

Installation time should be about 1 hour labor time plus the cost of brake fluid swap/bleed. That can vary shop to shop and also depends on the type of fluid you choose to use.

According to the photo attached, there are only 4 lines.
Other companies offer 6 lines kits, why is the difference?

Maybe other companies are using a universal photo instead of photo of the actual part? I assure you there are only the 4 lines on this car to be replaced.
A few of the older cars from the E chassis series did have 6 lines though.

You can see in the oem diagrams below that the only rubber lines are the ones we include with the kit. All others are hard lines in the factory brake system.

Do you have them in stock and how much time it would take to have them shipped to San Francisco?
