I believe mine starts next Tuesday (11/4), in the 1-800 number is accurate. We could be 44/45 buddies ;-)

I think I'm in this build week as well. Called BMW on Friday (Oct 31st) and was told that they didn't have a production date for my car, but it was scheduled for a December build. Called today (Nov 3rd) to follow up on a date and was told that my car is now in production. Is this a typical situation or did I just get lucky?

I don't know if there's any firm rules about how long it stays in any given stage. I've compared mine to other's timelines, and things seem to vary by a week or two here or there up to the point of the car actually being made.

That said, I ordered mine on 10/9, got a production # on 10/10, at which point it showed as "Order Documented" online.

On 10/24 it went "into production" on the website (and the phone said "with no production date scheduled")

It stayed that way a couple days, then started saying it'd be build (or is that by?) 11/4 (tomorrow!).

Just called in (11/4 @ 8am Pacific), and it now says:

"Your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit"

Woot!
